Intermittent STNA

Putnam County Hospice is seeking dependable and reliable nurse aide applicants with a genuine interest in hospice to work part-time hours in the Putnam & Allen County areas.  The STNA will work day shift, weekdays only. No holidays, no weekends.

Job Duties May Include:

  • Provides personal care and assistance to patients receiving hospice services (for example, bathing, skin care, nail care, toileting, ambulating, meal planning and preparation)
  • Monitors patient condition in accordance with the established patient care plan
  • Provides various home maintenance and light housekeeping services as part of the designated patient care plan (for example, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, laundry, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens
  • Plans and records daily activity schedule in accordance with the established care plan
  • Assists patients and caregivers in ensuring that the necessary materials and supplies are kept in the residence (for example, grocery shopping, picking up medications)
  • Provides supportive care and companionship (for example, listening and reading)
  • Maintains required licensure and certification
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance


  • Completion of a secondary education (high school or GED)
  • Previous home health or hospice experience preferred, but not necessary
  • State of Ohio Nurse’s Aide (STNA)


Prior to hire, applicants must attend a Home Health Aide training class for 2-3 days (Depending on CPR status).  The agency will pay for the class fee and reimburse mileage once employed by PCHH.
